How much does Hollingsworth and Associates charge for a basic tax return?

That's a very good question! 

A basic return should be very easy to do, especially when all of the information is available , and most if not all of the requirement to file a return can be filled out by you.  

The starting point is to obtain a T1 (personal tax return) guide, and the forms, generally available at your local post office, and take your own time, to fill it out, and send it to your reporting tax office by mail.  There is no cost at all from us, because you have exercised very well a DIY (do it yourself) personal tax return.

Please don't hesitate to contact us by phone if you need us to prepare your tax return for you, and most tax returns we prepare for individuals are set at a reasonable price each year, and the major variation in that price is generally the time it takes to put it in order, obtain the proper information, locate you to sign a permission form (T183) in order for us to electronically file, or electronically obtain information and get electronic signatures from you when it is reviewed and completed.  The price still, must be reasonable to you, and mutually acceptable for us to be engaged to do this work, on your behalf.  It is our pleasure to be involved every step of the way, to have this annual event taken care of, and your Notice of Assessment be sent from CRA upon the successful filing of that information.  We can look after any adjustments that may be necessary, and we can also help make corrections for errors or omissions that may have been done in the past, by yourself, or any other organization or person, that has assisted you.

Perhaps you can gather your information together, put it in an oversized envelope, put your name, phone and email address on the outside, with a previous filed tax return, and drop it off in our office, before it is due.  We can certainly "size up" your requirements, and let you know what a "reasonable" price would be based on the best known information we have been provided, at that time.
